Abstract

Several functional and morphological aspects may be damaged and require intervention by an interdisciplinary team at the appropriate time for achievement of integral rehabilitation in cleft lip and palate patients. In addition to esthetics, attention to a cleft patient’s psychological health is also important, especially as a result of difficulties in communication and need for integration in society. This study relates a patient case with 40 years old and presenting cleft palate. A teeth supported-overdenture prosthesis was fabricated for replacement of missing teeth and also for cleft palate obturation.
