Resumo

The European Higher Education Area (EHEA) has invested efforts into an educational model that is based on student learning and thus student focused learning needs. Under this framework, a tool called SIENA SOCIAL has been designed to help provide individuals with both autonomous learning and collaborative learning opportunities. In this paper, we analyse the possibility of extending the web tool beyond the higher education setting by testing it in primary and secondary educational settings. For this purpose, two experiments were designed: the first targets secondary education and uses the subject English as a Second Language, the second targets primary education and the topic The Human Body within the subject of Environmental Studies.
