Etnomatemática e o Pensamento de Ludwig Wittgenstein / Ethnomathematics and Ludwig Wittgenstein’s thinking

Resumo

O artigo apresenta uma reflexão das ideias formuladas por Ludwig Wittgenstein em sua obra Investigações Filosóficas e a Educação Matemática, em especial, a Etnomatemática. O estudo mostra como a obra de maturidade de Wittgenstein tem sido usada para discutir duas questões centrais da perspectiva etnomatemática: evidenciar a existência de diferentes linguagens matemáticas e problematizar as regras que constituem a linguagem da matemática acadêmica e a linguagem da matemática escolar.

The article reflects the ideas of Ludwig Wittgenstein in his work Philosophical Investigations and Mathematics Education, in particular, the Ethnomathematics. The study shows how the
Late Wittgenstein’s workshops has been used to discuss two key issues from the perspective of ethnomathematics: highlight the existence of different mathematical languages and discuss the rules that constitute the school mathematics language and academic mathematics language.
